Ann Arend graduates in Lansing amid violent storm
By the Way Mrs Arend Miss Landwehr Mr and Mrs Norman Wiedmayer and Lewis O Mara from Saline attended the graduation of Ann Arend at Eastern High School East Lansing. Doors were held shut by workers as the storm raged and power failed across the area. A candlelit reception followed at Mr and Mrs Jack Arend home. Also noted Mrs Frank Otrambo had minor surgery at Saline Community Hospital and a patient Mrs Ruben Finkbeiner remained there a week hoping to return home soon.

Final Notice Weed Ordinance No 142 for Saline landowners
Property owners and land occupiers in Saline must cut noxious weeds twice yearly before June 1 and September 1. Violations incur fines from 10 to 100 dollars, up to 10 days in jail.
