Blue Bird and Campfire Girls To Organize Here Next Fall
F W vanWestrenen plant manager of Fisher Body Division General Motors in Tecumseh will co chair the Capital Fund Drive for the Tuckabatchee Council Campfire Girls with Dr Donato Sarapo of Adrian. They aim to develop a 650 acre Pickerel Lake site as a day camp ecological center open to area youth groups and agencies. Plans include starting Blue Bird and Camp Fire groups in Saline in the fall.

Saline High School awarded many seniors in 1973 with alumni, state and local scholarships and honors. Notable recipients included Carl Goble Kay Bailey Jennifer Bishop Julia Friend Sue Genik Mary Fett Jim Martin Ann Vershum and many others across U M Club awards Eastern Michigan and state programs. The event closed with schoolwide recognition and the Dr Miller Scholarship Cup awarded to the entire class.
