Vandals Strike Millpond Park and Nearby Incidents

Saline police report two bent sign posts and tire tracks at Millpond Park after a vandalism incident, with no suspects. Earlier, a suspected runaway juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Home for help. A separate February 18 crash on S Ann Arbor Street involved a pedestrian striking a car. no charges filed. Another wreck occurred near A and P with a truck turning into Michigan Ave.

Annexation Debate in Pittsfield Township over Sewer Hookups

Pittsfield Township officials indicate they would release T M Chevrolet and Lyle's Wheel and Axle properties for annexation if it aids sewer issues. Love Story Stars Jedele Homestead Adenture in Saline

Phil and Judi Bondie restore the 1850s Jedele homestead on Brassow Rd near Lodi Estates after buying it Jan 31 1975. They spent more than a year reviving the 2.3 acre house deserted by animals and signed off with family help led by Phil’s father Joseph Bondie. The couple moves in this week as photos show them at their Franklin store, with upcoming Reporter coverage of their Saline Bicentennial project.

Saline Seeks 2.5 Million Grant for Sewage Upgrades

City of Saline meeting with Lodi Pittsfield York Townships discusses a 2.5 million grant to expand the Saline sewage plant and fix lines. The plan covers eastbelt relief, westbelt repairs, and groundwater infiltration control with an 80 20 funding split, possible to rise above 2.5 million if townships join.
