Three Hurt In Fog Collision At City Corner
In heavy fog and rain at the corner of Michigan Ave and Harris St last week three people were injured. Ste phen Ormsby 16 suffered severe facial lacerations and broken ribs after his car was struck broadside by Sally J. Jensen 26 who fled with a sprained ankle. Ormsby was treated at Saline Community Hospital then St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and has since recovered at home. Douglas Hiser 18 and Jensen were treated for bruises and minor injuries. A warrant was issued for Jensen on a charge of driving without lights.

Navy family learns son may transfer from Turkey base
Mr and Mrs Leanor Roehm of Case Road report their son Earl is among five men selected to transfer from a naval base at Tusloy Turkey to a base in Scotland sometime in January. Roehm has been stationed in Turkey for four months.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile visits Saline on Friday January 15 to replenish supplies at the Saline Blood Bank. The drive runs 2 to 5 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Intermediate School. Residents and non residents may donate blood at no charge.

County Drain Commissioner John Flook of Waterworks Road stays at University Hospital in 8440 room after arterial resection on December 18 and another emergency procedure the next day. He is reported doing well with potential surgery slated for next week.
