Local Musicians Prepare Mexico Tour for Youth International
Mr. and Mrs. Lester McCoy launch Musical Youth International to sponsor high school musicians from Michigan and nearby states for a summer tour of Mexico and Central America by 80 vocalists and instrumentalists. A 40 piece band will perform marching and concert. Lester McCoy leads the project with Charles Kirsch aiding. David Myers, Saline alum and U M marching band clarinetist, joins 205 band members bound for Pasadena for the Rose Bowl.
