Sewer District 35 set for Monday council action
City Council will revisit Special Assessment District 35 to share estimated $10 692 costs for extending the W Bennett storm sewer to the Saline River. Mayor Jack Bennett and Supt. Mike Strait urge a resident briefing on options and costs before a possible engineer survey, with survey costs borne by district residents.

4-H Livestock Sale Highlights Washtenaw Show
Saline area 4-H exhibitors excelled at Washtenaw's annual 4-H Show sale closing week. At Farm Council Grounds Vic Cronk presided as bids rose. Betty Lou Boehm's grand champion angus steer sold to Daisy Markets of Ann Arbor for 40 cents a pound. Gene Girbach's reserve champion fetched 29 cents to Steebe Brothers Market. Betty Lou's champion shorthorn went for 2644 cents to Steeb Brothers.

Saline Rotary Club will sponsor a Travel and Adventure series from October 1961 to April 1962. Six travelogues plus a free intro program will be shown monthly in the Intermediate School gym. The films feature color scenery with producer narration and in-person appearances.
