Saline Jaycees and Jaycettes plan two rodeo performances at Farm Council Grounds this Saturday and Sunday with amateur events and pro rides. George Alder leads a full livestock lineup as members handle all planning. last year’s gate reached about 1200, with proceeds funding local community service.

Two Fire Alarms Stir Saline Community Wednesday
Saline Volunteer Fire Department rushed to two morning alarms on Lindsay Road and Wallace Drive. At 6 25 am an oil heated water heater exploded in a basement room at the Finkbeiner farm causing considerable damage before Clinton firefighters arrived. A second call a little over an hour later to the Specht home yielded smoke with no fire found after the couple cut the basement circuit.
