Daring Hold Up West of Saline Targeting Tourists
A couple from Elkhart Indiana traveling to Detroit in a Studebaker were stopped by four young men near Saline on Clinton road at 5 am Tuesday. The thieves fired grazing the driver and wounded the woman, robbing coats slips and $450 before fleeing when a wire broke and an oncoming car frightened them. Dr Morden treated the woman, and the couple returned home. The bandits are described as about 22 years old.

End of Trout Season and Outlook for Waterfowl
The season closed September 1 after a storm disrupted fishing and restocking has continued for years. Ducks to follow include mallards in Michigan with protections for wood ducks until 1924.
