Farm Students Shaw Increase at Michigan State College
Enrollment rose to 100 percent above 1926 levels as 17 special courses opened at Michigan State College this week. Officials say the jump is the largest since the war and signals growing farmer prosperity. The Portland Methodist church Missionary Society contributed over 300 dollars this year, averaging more than 100 dollars per member, according to officers of the society in Ionia News.

Michigan Boys Win National Dairy Show Honors
Michigan 4 H club boys won six prizes at the National Dairy Show in Memphis Tennessee. Cyril Spike Ypsilanti Emil Kober Conklin and Max Ross Ypsilanti formed the dairy judging team placing sixth among 28 states. The dairy demonstration team placed third in a 19 state class. Kenneth Ellis Casnovia and Norman Holden Kent City demonstrated proper show ring fitting. Spike placed second in individual Guernsey judging and Kober sixth in Jersey show times.
