Veterans Use GI Bill for Education and Home Loans
Veterans may study under the GI bill and also obtain a guaranty loan to build a home, even when drawing subsistence. A disability pension does not block a home loan if the veteran qualifies. Peacetime service with a service connected illness may yield disability pension depending on severity. Reenlistment can discontinue disability if deemed fit. For address queries, provide service branch. Commission figures show 1942 had 119,886 new officers versus 2,182 in 1945. GI loans cover farm or home tax payments if eligible.
