Obituary of Christina Hass former Saline resident
Christina Hass 76 died Monday Oct 7 at her daughter Hilda Miller’s home in Chula Vista California. Born November 5 1880 in Roumania she was the daughter of John and Maries Schumaier. She is survived by four daughters and three sons, twenty one grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 13 at Muehlig Chapel Ann Arbor with burial in Oakwood Cemetery Saline.

Obituary: Fred W. Arend of Saline Dies at 68
Fred W. Arend aged 68 died Sunday evening October 13 at his home in Saline township after an extended illness. He was born June 25 1889 in Lenawee County son of John and Johanna Arend and married in 1911. He lived in Deerfield until 1923 then moved to his present home. Surviving are his widow two sons John of Lansing Bruce of Saline five grandchildren two sisters and three brothers and several nieces and nephews. He was a farmer and active in St Pauls Church local Grange Washtenaw Farm Bureau and Saline Community Fair. Funeral services are p.m. Wednesday at Lockwood Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
