Hagen was killed in a car crash near Tipton Lenawee County Saturday after 3 p.m. He led in poultry industry circles and served on the state Poultry Association Board. Postmaster Mrs. Arthur O Neill says staff have worked nights and Sundays awaiting new equipment to reduce confusion and delays during the holiday season starting around December 10. The post office moved to the 24 by 110 foot, 2,750 square foot facility on November 15 after more than 20 years at S Ann Arbor Street.

Settlement Reached in Burg Lawsuit Over Bowling Alley Construction
George Burg of Alma and Eleona Marshall of Ypsilanti accepted a settlement proposal in a case against Jay W. Harmon. The dispute sought 623.55 in damages for building damage during bowling alley work and contract alterations.
