Saline Junior High Students Attend Ann Arbor Conference
Saline Junior High School student council officers led by Principal Charles Jaquith attended the 11th Annual Student Council Citizenship Conference in Ann Arbor on Tuesday October 25. Delegates from across Michigan gathered to plan improved school citizenship programs. representatives included Jan Losee Bill Taylor Jim Bohnett and Phyllis Robison.

Junior High Band Performs at Local Games and Events
The Saline junior high band played at all home varsity games this year becoming the first to perform at a Chelsea Saline game. They featured a TV show style set at the Lincoln Varsity game with top hour theme songs drawing applause. A Halloween party for teens at Saline High School gym was hosted by the Saline Child Study Club and UNICEF drive. Michigan band members provided dance music and a floor show for the children. Mr and Mrs Harvey Kline return from a month long vacation with California and Bradenton trips accompanying Mrs Alda Kliwe.

Saline Wasps Roll to Fourth Victory of Season
The Saline Junior High Wasps defeated Chelsea 6 to 0 to finish the season with four wins. Earlier games included a 21 to 0 win over Dundee on October 6, a 14 to 0 blanking of Chel, a 19 to 6 win against Dundee, and a 6 to 0 win over Chelsea with Bill Taylor scoring the final touchdown.

Saline Junior High celebrates UN birthday assembly
Friday October 21 in the gym featured Jan Losee opening remarks. Mrs. McCoy's seventh grade English reports covered ten UN benefiting countries, followed by Pat Kidwell of the ninth grade speaking on UNICEF. The junior high girls choir sang The Thanksgiving Hymn directed by Mrs. Fry. Mrs. Benish presented UNICEF information and announced the Halloween Dance Party held Monday evening.

Cub Pack No 140 Holds Meeting
The Cub Pack Committee for Sealine Pack No 146 met at the Donald Rapp home last Wednesday evening. Plans for a Pack Night at the Elementary School Wednesday at 7 30 were discussed with each den to present a Thanksgiving themed skit. Oliver Steiner was named chairman of an Ideas Committee for Pack Nights and will appoint leaders for each Pack Night. Next meeting to be announced.

Mobile X Ray Unit Makes 614 Pics
The Saline Jaycee Auxiliary met at Mrs. Arthur Moehn’s home on Tuesday October 25. The group welcomed new member Mrs. Cliff Tetzoff and heard that 614 chest X rays had been taken by the Mobile Unit in Saline.
