Washtenaw County numbering plan eyed by Detroit Edison
Detroit Edison proposes a county wide unit numbering system starting in Saline and extending across Washtenaw to ease mail delivery. Beginning numbers will be 7000s near city edges with cross streets at Michigan Avenue and Ann Arbor Street as central anchors. The plan, to be done at no cost, targets a two week start and includes county wide changes to street numbers. Saline Junior Livestock Feeding Club reports progress with 26 members showing steers for the Fall Fair. The club plans lamb and pig feeding groups starting June and July, with meetings and expert talks held Monday night. Mayor Alwin Gross photographed three club members and steers.
