Water systems fight farm fires in Michigan
Farmers install pumps in small outbuildings connected to direct power to avoid line shorts. Pumps cost 20 to 40 dollars, 20 to 40 pounds pressure, and shut off at 40 psi. An extra switch near the hose keeps the pump running, reaching 65 psi, delivering 400 to 500 gallons per hour. A standard extinguisher and lower insurance rates are recommended.
