Obituary for Andres Beck 67 longtime area farmer dies in Michigan
Andres Beck 67 a longtime area farmer died April 22 at St Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor. He lived at 14130 Darling Rd Monroe County. Born November 20 1887 in Russia he moved to Detroit in 1913 later settling on Darling Road. He belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in Saline and married Matilda Miller Krause February 7 1920 in Benton Harbor. Survived by wife three daughters Miss Eda Beck Mrs Agnes Carter Miss Wilma Beck a son Arnold Krause three grandchildren two brothers and a sister in Germany. A daughter Mrs Hildegard Heumann died in 1942.

Frederick J. Marion, 77, died early Wednesday at Saline General Hospital after lifelong residence on a Saline Township farm. He was born October 31, 1877, to Christian and Christina Schweitzer and married Lydia Braun in 1903. Survived by seven children, many grandchildren, and a sister. services Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Lockwood Funeral Home.

Last Thursday evening featured Mother and Daughter banquets at three churches. St Pauls hosted a large crowd with a city chicken dinner and varied program led by Mrs. Verona Little. Methodist and Federated churches each held banquets with speeches, music, and tributes to mothers and daughters.
