Pastors Run Bevel Gear Shop in Ypsilanti Home

Rev O R Gilligan and Rev J E Mann, former Mennonite pastor and Sunday school superintendent, moved with families to 110 West Michigan Ave. They started a machine shop on New Year's Day making bevel gears for Clinton Machine Co. Other family members join, including L J Mann and Mia Mann. The shop operates in the basement, also making parts for a tap disintegrator. Saline residents are invited to welcome the newcomers.

Students Prepare Comedy Play at Colfax College

Rehearsals underway for the Junior Class play to be staged in the auditorium on April 5 and 6 at 8 p.m. The comedy Girls Will Be Boys features Peewee Vozier George Silvers Gubby Carter Bunny Chase and other named cast members with deans and society officers also listed. Funeral services are set for Ida Dresselhouse Friday at 2 p.m. at Lockwood funeral home with interment in Riverside cemetery Clinton. She was born April 11 1868 in Vosburg Penna and survived by two daughters a son and eight grandchildren.

Saline Red Cross Drive Exceeds City Quota by $500

Mrs. Merritt Martin reports Saline's Red Cross drive has surpassed the $1,500 city quota by more than $500 and contributions continue through March. Unapproached residents may donate at banks or with Mrs. Arthur O Neill at the post office. a fuller report will follow in early April.

Raymond McLaughlin 26 has taken pastoral duties at the Federated Church and preached his first sermon last Sunday. He lives in Detroit and studies at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary Chicago, with Moody Bible Institute study credits. He will split weekends in Saline and lead Sunday services.
