Delightful Cantata At St. Pauls Church
A cantata titled Memories of Easter Morn by Ellen Jane Lorenz will be performed at St. Pauls Church on Sunday evening, March 24, directed by George Schmid. The program features solos, duets, trios, and quartets with pieces including I Know That My Redeemer Lives and The Ninety and Nine, sung by mixed voices, choirs, and soloists Mrs. Erwin Schmid and Mrs. George Wood, with Erwin Schmid and others leading various selections. Rotarians View Colored Films of Hudson Bay Trip
Prof Allan Scherzer of the University of Michigan engineering college presented a 45 minute program to Rotarians featuring three reels of colored motion pictures. The film depicted a 2 1/2 month Hudson Bay voyage aboard a Hudson Bay Fur Company steamer, showing scenes and activities north to Craig Harbor near 700 miles from the North Pole. Weather delays kept him from Saline but he arrived in time to show the pictures.
