After College What Chance for a Job in 1932
Joseph Creamer argues in the Rotary magazine that the job market is tight for new graduates yet opportunity exists if individuals create their own work. He cites examples of graduates starting agencies, weekly publications, a Harvard graduate launching a business, a woman running a mail fashion bureau, and others opening stores or offices financed by loans. The piece suggests youth are increasingly becoming entrepreneurs amid hard times. The Michigan State Fair offers $488.75 in Domestic Economics Exhibits prizes September 4 to 10.
