When Stories Scare Children We Must Heal and Enlighten
The piece argues parents should comfort and heal children's fears without belittling them. It warns against frightening tales that distort views of neighbors or outsiders and stresses guiding kids to distinguish fantasy from reality while promoting tolerance and common sense. It closes with a cooking analogy about adding cinnamon to cake for flavor.
