Record Number At School Meeting
At the annual school meeting in the auditorium Monday evening Dr. Gordon J. Prout was re elected to the school Board by ballot. Mrs. Grace Young was elected secretary by a narrow two vote margin over Mrs. Anna Miller who was re nominated. The minutes were read and the secretary treasurer's report given by Clarence Cook. The district counted 389 students in fall 1942 with seven losses. the May 30 1943 census listed 43 preschool children and 311 aged 5 to 13. Non resident attendance averaged 29 in grade and 109 in high school. Attendance rose with 74 votes cast Monday night versus 56 last year.

Registration Opens for Civilian Raid Personnel Countywide
John R. Meadow leads county effort to register all civilian protection workers by Sept 1.
