Michigan State Farm Bureau Forms Elevator Exchange
Delegates from about 100 cooperative elevators and associations met at Michigan Agricultural College June 29 30 to organize the Michigan State Farm Bureau Elevator Exchange. The system aims to mobilize local cooperative finances and improve grain and bean quality through better farming methods and standard varieties. The exchange operates under the Farm Bureau with a five member board of control and two appointed by the Bureau. the first such organization in the United States, alongside the Michigan Potato Growers Exchange.
