Corn Borer Moths Emerge In Michigan Fields
Federal entomologists report corn borer moths appearing in a field near Hrie and at Monroe experimental station. Professor R H Pettit of Michigan State College explains moths measure about three quarters of an inch, are night flyers, and lay eggs in undersides of corn leaves. Eggs hatch in four to twelve days, larvae cause damage, but moths will remain a few and decline with cleanup over years.
