Youths 16 to 20 may join Navy training at Great Lakes with parental consent, July 14 deadline, earning 33 per month but paying travel costs.

The June 28 ceremony at Edwin C. Knopf’s home in Ann Arbor united Miss Lydia Friichman a local teacher with Carl L. Coon of Jackson in a ring ceremony conducted by Rev. Leonard A. Barrett. Roses and ferns decorated the rooms and a county luncheon followed the ceremony. The couple plan to reside in Jackson after a Portage Lake outing.

Miss Luella Braun daughter of alr and Mrs George Braun married Benjamin Waltz son of Gottlob Waltz of Free dom on a Thursday afternoon June 2 Rev Adolph Lederer officiated at the parsonage. Bride wore white Georgette over satin with red rose bouquet. Edwin Braun served as best man. Bridesmaid Melvina Braun wore blue Georgette with pink roses. A wedding supper followed at the farm. gifts were many and family attendance was close. The couple left for their new home at 226 Murray Court Aimn Ar bor.
