Bridgewater Welcomes New Pool Lunch Barber Establishment

Two local young men Russell Sweet of Ypsilanti and Ernest G. Austin of Adrian open a combined pool hall lunch counter and barber shop in Bridgewater in the former Kern general store building. The venture includes cigars and tobacco, with one pool table now and a second to follow if demand grows. The shop occupies the front east corner, the lunch counter the main area, and the pool room in the back. Community response is positive with plans for expansion and continued local business activity noted along with nearby residents’ visits and events through the week.
