Ford Reveals 1954 Truck Line With New Engines
Ford introduces a 1954 truck lineup displayed in dealers showrooms starting January 6 featuring five new ultra modern engines and tandem axle T 700 and T 800 models. The line includes 24 series over 220 models with ratings from 4 000 to 40 000 pounds and new cab forward C 700 and C 900 Big Jobs. Ford claims improved power economy and durability with driverized cabs and advanced steering and transmission options. The engines range from 115 to 170 horsepower with short stroke design and deep block construction, promising increased usable hauling power and fuel efficiency.
