A new simple soil test developed by Prof. C H Spurway allows rapid acidity checks to determine lime requirements. The Michigan Agricultural College says every farm will be tested within years, guiding targeted liming to prevent wasteful overuse and improve profitability.

Prison Binder Twine Sales Reach North Dakota Wolverminster
Warden Harry Hulbert of Jackson prison travels west selling 9 750 000 pounds of binder twine. North Dakota uses 29 000 000 pounds yearly and would consume all state production, but sales go to several states. Michigan will use about 6 000 000 pounds, the year’s output now met, with 7 000 000 pounds in Walcott warehouse. 6 000 000 to Nebraska and North Dakota.

Public Auction of Laubengauer Farm at Scio Saline Area
Willis ithrig announces a public auction on February 20 1923 at 10 am on the Laubengauer farm one mile east of Scio church six miles north and two miles west of Saline selling horses cows sheep cattle implements and household goods.
