Michigan Farmers Week attendance trails prior year
Michigan's annual Farmers Week at Michigan Agricultural College February 29 to February 2 drew about 4,000 attendees, well below last winter's total due to impassable central Michigan roads. Despite lower local turnout, comparisons show the event ranks among the nation's largest agricultural gatherings, with Minnesota and Illinois weeks reporting smaller crowds. The highlight was a large live stock parade featuring blue ribbon winners and a long pageant of tractors and equipment.
