Fifteen Peach Ridge Growers Sell 50 000 Bushels via Low Cost Ad
Fifteen fruit growers near Peach Ridge southwest of Sparta earned a large year’s return from a single advertising effort. With a cost under 40 dollars the blind ad invited buyers to Peach Ridge, drawing customers from Detroit, Toledo and eastern and northern Michigan. Buyers came by car or truck, purchasing peaches, apples, plums and pears. Information desk coordinator Philip Klenk arranged the ads and directed fruit sales, noting uniform prices and that the campaign paid off for all.
