Michigan farmers urged to adopt cost accounting methods
H B Killough of Michigan Agricultural College argues farmers will not simply raise production despite costs. He notes reduced purchasing power and unemployment dampening demand, urging definite farm cost accounting and management information. Riddell's records show two dairy farms with equal investments yields far different returns, illustrating cost accounting value. More than forty cost accounting schools will be held across twenty Michigan counties this winter, organized by local agents and aided by bankers, farmers, and school superintendents.
