Washtenaw County 4-H groups honored with trips to National events. Mary Ann Boettner of Bridgewater and Lloyd Braun of Ann Arbor earned Michigan representation in national judging and Congress events in Chicago. A countywide push to form a Junior 4-H Leaders Club was approved with a founding committee named.
Robert A. Winder named manager of Ford Motor Company specialty plants in Manchester Waterford Northville and Brooklyn. He succeeds Walter H. Simpson who resigned. Winder was previously Manchester plant superintendent and joined Ford in 1939. Samuel L. Dibble named superintendent of the Manchester plant succeeding Winder.
