A creamy orange sherbet using gelatin, sugar, orange concentrate and buttermilk. The method: dissolve gelatin in water, heat to dissolve sugar, add concentrate and buttermilk, freeze partially then whip and refreeze until firm. Makes six servings and highlights buttermilk as protein and calcium source.
Instructions describe making coffee by steeping a muslin bag in a large kettle of boiling water for 10 to 12 minutes. After steeping, plunge the bag and let the coffee remain hot for service without boiling. Yields 40 to 50 servings.
The third annual Washtenaw Fall Festival will be held Friday September 14 at the Masonic Temple on South Fourth Avenue Ann Arbor from 12 noon to 10 p m with free admission The Ann Arbor Garden Club sponsors the event and local groups collaborate including Milan Woman's Club Saline Woman's Club Washtenaw County Farm Bureau Saline Farmers Club Arbor Farmers' Club and Farm and Garden Association among others.
In Washtenaw County probate court on August 8 1951 Judge Jay H Payne ordered creditors to file written sworn claims against the estate of Joseph Richardson also known as Joseph H Richardson by October 8 1951 at ten in the forenoon. The order also directs service on Samuel A Richardson fiduciary and calls for three weekly notices in the Saline Observer.
