Mrs William Burkhardt hosted a Monday evening bridal shower for Miss Leona Eichel with thirty guests. Gifts flowed as Miss Eichel received many presents while guests including Mrs Augusta Schaeffer and Mrs John Jaeger attended. Also noted was John Jaeger’s wife Marilyn Jaeger receiving word of her husband’s promotion to sergeant in Korea near Seoul. The Renz reunion at Scio drew 65 attendees, with a noon potluck and new officers elected: President William Heusel of Ann Arbor and secretary treasurer Alwin Burkhardt. The afternoon featured games and visiting.
