Scherdt Reunion Promises Next Year In Ann Arbor Area

The third annual Scherdt family reunion was at the Freedom farm homes of Lewis and Richard Scherdt. A basket dinner and lawn supper were followed by a business meeting with 105 in attendance. Four births and one marriage occurred in the prior year. Oldest attendee John Dieterle of Freedom, and Ruth Hartman, 10 weeks old daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew Hartman of Pittsfield, were noted. Mrs Edward Kay of Ann Arbor elected president, Lorena Schnirring of Pittsfield secretary treasurer, Albert Zahn of Ann Arbor on refreshment committee. Next reunion planned for first Sunday in August 1923 at Ernest Scheldt’s west of Ann Arbor. Attendees hailed from Ann Arbor, Freedom, Lodi, Pittsfield, Windsor, Canada, and Saline.

Legion Plans Big Labor Day Celebration

The William 3B Lutz Post of the American Legion will stage a Labor Day program with a morning parade ending at the Soldier's Monument dedicated before noon. William Voss Clements Obituary from Lodi

William Voss Clements, born October 20 1852 in Walkirn England, died August 13 at his Lodi farm. Immigrated to America 1871 at 19, married Caroline Feldkamp November 30 1878. Survived by three of four children Charles Ida Ferman. farm life marked by 37 years in Lodi. Funeral held Tuesday at home, burial in Lodi cemetery. Rev Crose officiated.
