More Chewing Reduces Teen Tooth Decay Study Finds
An 18 month study of 266 boys at Children's Village Dobbs Ferry New York shows those who chewed sugar cane daily had only half the increase in decayed missing and filled teeth compared with two control groups. Researchers propose that hard mechanical exercise strengthens teeth and lowers decay risk.

Flight training costs covered under postwar GI Bill provisions
The new GI Bill signed in mid July pays 75 percent of flight training costs for post Korea veterans, with the VA directing monthly payments to the vet. Veterans must cover tuition and other costs themselves, turning funds over to flight schools. Flight training uses up entitlement at one day per $1.25 paid, with other benefits administered by VA and agencies for education, loans, unemployment, and job assistance.

Korean GI Bill differs from World War II veterans bill says VA
The VA explains the Korean GI Bill provides one lump sum payment to veterans and has no requirement that flight training be for vocational use. The World War II act paid training costs to schools and offered a subsistence allowance, plus a vet must prove training was not for recreation. No payments are allowed for periods before August 20.
