Pioneer's 1100 Acre Prospecting Venture in Sag inaw
The Sag inaw paper notes a 69 year old Flint resident leases 1100 acres in Sag inaw County Maple Grove district to prospector gold. He forms a Flint men’s company and will begin work in two months. Indians allegedly had gold ornaments and a pair once brought $40,000 in gold to Saginaw. An assay reportedly shows gold and silver presence. The Brighton Argus calls it an interesting story and likely only that. Our pessimism eases with Chicago’s repudiation of Big Bill Thompson.
