St Johns Bridge Need Urgent View From Portland Advocate
Charles C. Woodhouse Jr argues St Johns peninsula lacks a public bridge to relieve congestion. He describes a feasible site at St Johns for a high bridge over the Willamette, connecting North Portland with Linnton, and urges rapid construction to accommodate rising automotive traffic and a future 1925 world’s fair in Portland. He warns of choking central bridges and ferry limits for regional travel to the sea.
