City Council Approves Extra Attorneys For Water Case

Tuesday council meeting authorized hiring Perry Stroud and a top Portland attorney to assist City Attorney Gatzmyer in the water rate case now with the Railroad Commission. A three member mayoral committee will oversee the work, with Aldermen Martin, Wright and Munson on the panel. Gatzmyer reported insufficient black and white evidence against the water company.

A Pretty May Wedding was held at the home of the bride’s parents Mr and Mrs 8 O C Call 326 Mohawk Street Tuesday evening May 20 at 3 o’clock. Henry Gillam of Portland wed Florence Colburn of St Johns with Rev James Murphy officiating. Mrs Lillith Halt served as matron of honor and Mr Herbert G was best man.
