In a lengthy House address Hon A W Lafferty expounds on monetary reform and farm credit. He argues that banks create money via credit and criticizes interest charges while endorsing Glass Owen style measures and a rural credit bill to fund farms and roads.
January reports show D Ernest Randall substituted for Bowman delivering a humorous and artistic talk featuring copies of The Angelus and Christ with originals like The Old Swimming Hole. Other items include upcoming lectures and school activities amid a busy week at James John High.
Perrine urges St Johns voters to see the park land fight as a power play. He recalls meetings selecting Catlin Cook Caples tracts and reports Jaeger withdrawal, noting Caples fetches more money and questioning council actions and a looming “machine” influence.

A pleasant social party was held at Miss Laura Aoy’s residence 614 New York Street last Saturday evening. The young people enjoyed the evening in a galoy abe manner with pleasing refreshments as part of the entertainment.
In the absence of Mayor Hredgeson the council presided by Waldref reviews park budget, fire engine purchase, Mohawk boulevard improvements and the appointment of Lee Cormany as fire chief. The School Board votes to restrict attendance to vaccinated children for three weeks due to smallpox with two weeks of closures ordered starting January 22. Bonds of 113.04 and various street and advertising charges are approved.
The Railway Commission case on water rates has not reached a final decision. The Review plans to publish the engineers report in full later to provide citizens with a more complete understanding of the water situation.
