Pell City bus crash injures student and two drivers
A Pell City student and two adult drivers were hurt when a school bus and a car collided on an icy bridge along Alabama 144 Friday morning. The 7-year-old pupil was transported to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham for non life threatening injuries and both drivers were taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The Impala driver was identified as Paul Hooks.

Odenville officer injured in DUI crash on 411
A Birmingham man driving under the influence caused a three vehicle crash on January 19 at 2:30 a.m. involving an Odenville police officer. Boyd Wilson, 27, was arrested by Alabama State Troopers and jailed in Pell City.

St Clair County seeks ATRIP funds for 16 road projects
The St. Clair County Commission approved a third round of 16 road projects totaling over 86 miles to be forwarded to Montgomery for the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program. County engineer Dan Dahlke noted five more projects were already submitted for the second round and that one project in St Clair has been resurfaced.
