Area Librarians Oppose Decrease In Library Tax
The Librarians Council of St. Charles County met March 22 at Lindenwood College to discuss services and opposed reducing the library levy from two mills to one. They warn such cuts would jeopardize access to books, films, and interlibrary cooperation across county libraries. Citizens are urged to vote against the April 6, 1971 tax decrease to preserve current services.
