Hazelwoul, St. Grace's attorney representing a citizen group, filed a petition with Missouri Supreme Court requesting a new election date for the Saunter Charter race. He asks the court to order the Charter Commission to set a new date and require County Clerk and County Court to validate the election and publish proper notices. An alternative writ was prepared to cancel the March 2 plan, asserting the election was not properly advertised under Missouri Constitution rules. If March 6 proceeds, it is likely to be contested over defective notice.
