Tax Credit Plan Faces Senate Review and Costs

Holt and Frappier discuss a tax credit measure for private and parochial school tuition. If approved, it could cost the state under 600000, with most credits via church contributions. A constitutional amendment would be needed and a settlement on church state issues unlikely soon. The Ways and Means Committee has only begun hearings. The tax protest suit against railroads and utilities continues to drag on.
