St Peters Considers Tight Animal Control Ordinance
Backers press for passage of an animal control bill in St Peters with a debate over a search provision. Aldermen delete a controversial section and plan a special session July 14 to reconsider a redrafted version. The measure requires licenses, leash limits, an impounding officer, and penalties up to 50 dollars. unclaimed animals may be destroyed after five days.
