Chamber Music Opens Lindenwood Concert Series

The Symphony Orchestra, also teaching at Lindenwood College, will present a chamber music concert at 8 p.m. Thursday in the college chapel on Gamble and Sibley streets. The event is free and precedes the official college opening.

Dallas Fort Worth Airport Under Construction Without Airline Commitments

A St. Louis St. Charles delegation met Texas airport authorities last week to discuss the new Dallas Fort Worth Regional Airport project begun without any airline financial commitments. Commerce Bank supplied the airplane for the trip via its 17-bank network. The Sky Queen twin engine turboprop brought a Kansas City crew to Lambert Field for the 7 am departure.

Airport finance hurdles outlined by Dallas Fort Worth official

Southwestern Bell Plans $1.2 Million Local Work for St Charles

Southwestern Bell will spend 1.2 million this year on local construction in St Charles to keep pace with growth. About 710000 will go to outside plant facilities including 153000 feet of underground cable. Projected phones in service rise to 28400 by year end 1971.

Abstractors to pay rent for using county office space

St. Charles County Court endorsed charging abstract firms for space in the Recorder of Deeds office after a preliminary discussion with title firms. The opinion from the attorney general supports the county may establish a fee, noting the county is not obliged to provide free space or utilities.
