Bridge supporters back Missouri River crossing effort
Organizations representing nearly 30 000 people endorsed the Missouri River Bridges Committee aims to speed up bridge building across the Missouri River between St Louis and St Charles Counties. The petitions seek an Interstate 70 companion bridge by 1975 and rapid construction of additional crossings, with more than 8000 individuals signing. Endorsing groups include the St Louis Building Trades Council Operating Engineers Local 513 St Louis Metropolitan Area Citizens Council St Charles Hills Homeowners Association and others.
