Lucky Break Averts Heavy Loss in Gas Fire
An explosion and fire at MFA Service Station on North Highway morning destroyed two gasoline tanker trucks and damaged a filling station. Fire units from multiple districts contained the blaze with four workers escaping serious injury due to fortunate circumstances. The blast originated at the filler valve of a Commercial Cartage tanker as 7,500 gallons were being dispensed.
