M. W. Sherrard, 85, of Ruston, Civil War veteran and longtime resident of north Louisiana, died yesterday afternoon at his son's home in West Monroe. A Georgia native, he enlisted at 16, served through the war, later published papers in Haynesville and Ruston, and leaves three sons and a daughter. Funeral at his West Monroe home, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ruston. Also a real estate ad for 121 acres near Cooktown road listed by Guy Richards.
