Louisiana Tech student organizations are asked to submit nominations for State Fair Queen to the Student Senate room in Keeny Hall by 4 p.m. on October 6. A convocation at Howard Auditorium will select nine top finalists from 38 contestants to represent Tech on State Fair day.
Thursday October 8 1959 report of a bridal shower for Polly Phillips hosted by Simsboro Baptist Church friends. Pvt Lovette Tabor of Camp Gordon Georgia to wed in October. Guests included Mrs Earl McGuire and Mrs V H Harrell. Gifts opened with help from Miss Charlotte Sumlin.
