A Louisiana Methodist orphanage sought Colgate Palmolive and peers to donate 5000 dollars in exchange for soap coupons from Getaton Soap and other cleansers. The offer, led by R. W. Vanih ah, aimed to remodel buildings using coupon proceeds, but the institution rejected the coupon trade.

Robbers Hit Three Choudrant Gas Stations at Night

Three filling stations in Choudrant were robbed during a rain storm. Two Gillham Station windows were shattered and $25 taken from the cash register, near the homeowners. Ford and Sizemore stations were damaged with no money stolen. Sheriff Thigpen stated one bandit likely acted alone. Shreveport experts lifted prints.

Auditorium at Simsboro Near to Completion

Work on the new Simsboro High School auditorium is near completion with brick work finished roofing near completion and wiring for plastering interior. Sidewalks laid this week. The one story brick building will include a large auditorium stage principal's office storerooms laboratory three recitation rooms. Completion hoped around December.
